LOCAL BUSINESSES JOIN FORCES TO SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER

12/21/2018 (Permalink)

This is the 8th year that Santa and his helpers have brought the Christmas spirit to the school.

On December 19, 2018, a group of local businesses will join forces to provide holiday gift bags to almost 400 children that attend Lake Park Elementary School, a Title 1 school where 96% of the students receive free or reduced lunches.

Lesser Lesser Landy & Smith, Valley National Bank, and SERVPRO of North Palm Beach County will arrive at the school with Santa and his helpers to give holiday gift bags to all the students enrolled in the school.  The holiday gift bags will include a blanket, stuffed animal, toiletries, with art supplies donated by the Lake Park non-profit Kelsey Cares, and fresh fruit donated by Duffy’s.

“It’s about local businesses working together as a team to help those less fortunate in our community during the holidays, “said Lesser Lesser Landy & Smith Managing Partner Gary S. Lesser. “I’m glad we can be part of this team helping hundreds of families to have a happier holiday season.”

This is the 8th year that Santa and his helpers have brought the Christmas spirit to the school.  Started as an adopt-a-classroom program by a few employees at Valley National Bank in 2010, the event has evolved into a community-wide effort to bring Christmas cheer to the children at Lake Park Elementary.
